The North Cliff is on The South West Coast Path & has some of the finest views of the North Devon coastline. It is situated in a peaceful position, overlooking Lynmouth Bay with its stunning headland, the beautiful Watersmeet Valley and is just a 200 metre walk to Lynton village.

We can accommodate large walking groups - children are welcome, as are dogs. We have a designated drying room & provide free Wi-Fi throughout. Local activities include riding, tennis, mini golf, clay pigeon shooting & films in the town cinema. We are ideally situated for exploring the beautiful coastline, Exmoor National Park and the remarkable Valley of the Rocks where you can spot the famous resident goats on the cliff ledges &am,p; in the summer months watch a game of cricket at our unique ground within the Valley.
The famous Cliff Railway linking Lynton and Lynmouth passes within a few feet of the hotel - it is the world's highest and steepest completely water powered railway, which can be easily accessed via the hotel's stepped garden.
Just 10 minutes drive away is Woody Bay Railway Station, where you can jump on a steam train and ride in a Victorian carriage. After a day spent exploring, enjoy a meal in our dining room where we have a well stocked bar, coffee machine and doors opening onto the terrace. There is plentiful seating on the terrace overlooking the bay, with cosy blankets for those cooler evenings, where you can enjoy a drink whilst taking in the magnificent sea and coastal views. Alternatively why not relax with a drink in the lounge, which has a welcoming log fire in the colder months.
