A dear little cottage, standing off the Drang, peacefully under the gaze of the Parish Church but a stone’s throw from the hub of this bustling Exmoor village.
Timber floors, richly coloured rugs, period fireplace, prettily furnished and with a sun trap courtyard.
The property sleeps 4 and includes a private garage nearby. Dogs may be accommodated by prior arrangement.
Porlock is a traditional Exmoor village, with a long history of settlements on or near the site. It is also a working village, with shops in the High Street supplying all that you may need.
You will be sure of a friendly Exmoor welcome in them all and this will be echoed in the many pubs, hotels and restaurants to be found here.
Porlock Weir, only 2 miles away, is a quaint little harbour with a unique charm, cosy pubs and restaurants. It also boasts the remains of a prehistoric forest, occasionally visible still at very low tides, and it was here that some remains of an Aurochs were found, now on display in the Visitor Centre in Porlock.
Porlock is at the western end of The Coleridge Way and on the South West Coast Path and all of the superb walking that Exmoor provides.
Cottage location is The Drang, Porlock, TA24 8LB.
